I have to admit, I'm really chuffed with how it turned out *pats self on back* so thought I'd share with you how I did it, if you fancy having a go and save yourself £20!
You will need:
- a black foam board (mine is A1 from Hobbycraft)
- metallic pens (mine are Papermania Fluid Metallic Pens)
- a ruler
- a pencil
- a rubber
- some scrap paper for drafting
Firstly, you might want to jot down a few things you'd like to include on your board. Milestones, favourite things, amount of teeth, weight, height... you get the idea.
Next, on a scrap piece of paper, roughly draw out how you would like your board to look. I got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and created a board to store all my favourite images.
Once you're happy with your design, start drawing it out on your foam board using a pencil - unless you're brave enough to go straight in with the pens!
And it's as easy as that!
I loved creating this birthday board and it got a lot of compliments from guests which was a nice little bonus!
I hope you enjoyed this little DIY post, are you planning on making one next birthday celebration???
