Toddler Meal Ideas

Last month, uploaded a video on my YouTube channel based on Toddler Meal Ideas, and the kind of food I give Aria on a daily basis. I had so many messages from people asking about meal ideas for their toddlers/kids, that I thought I'd do a blog post too!

Breakfast
For us, breakfast usually consists of Cheerios and toast, but I do like to mix things up from time to time.
  • Cereal
  • Toast - the list of toppings is endless! Peanut butter is a big hit with Aria, as is jam, mashed banana and Dairylea.
  • Porridge - again, the list of toppings is endless. I like to make it with almond milk, as it is a little sweeter and add any kind of fruit or even stir in a touch of almond butter.
  • Eggs - scrambled, or soft boiled with soldiers.
  • French toast.
  • Pancakes.

Lunch
Lunchtime is always a bit of a picnic for us, and can vary depending on what we have in the house. There is always a main dish that I give her, as well as plenty of snacky bits such as yoghurt, cheese, Dairylea dunkers, fruit, fruit bars or pouches (handy little on-the-go snacks).

  • Soup.
  • Sandwiches or wraps - tuna or cheese (grated or cream cheese) are Aria's favourites.
  • Pasta.
  • Omelette.
  • Beans on toast.

Dinner
For Aria's dinner, I usually give her what we've had for dinner the previous night, and make enough to freeze in batches. I just find it saves a lot of time and I always know I've something quick and easy to hand.

  • Chicken cacciatore.
  • Beef stew.
  • Quesadillas.
  • Omelette.
  • Fishcakes.
  • Homemade burgers and veg (without the bun).
  • Pasta - there are so many different options including macaroni, veg filled tomato based, carbonara...
  • Fish fingers.
  • Quiche.
  • Risotto.

I hope you found this post useful and possibly found some new ideas for your toddler!

I'd love to know what your toddler's favourite meal is.
