PREGNANCY | THE HALFWAY STRUGGLE

Being pregnant is something I absolutely adore. I feel the most like myself when I'm pregnant. I feel more confident in my skin, and so much more sure of myself. Like I know what my purpose is.

But that doesn't mean that it is without it's challenges.

I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and have hit the stage that I feared from my first pregnancy. To put it directly, I feel shit.

THERALINE MATERNITY PILLOW REVIEW & GIVEAWAY!

If there's one part of pregnancy that is a struggle, it's getting a good nights sleep.

I'm half way through my second pregnancy and I don't know if being active with a toddler is taking it's toll on my body more, or if I have just forgotten how difficult it was to get comfortable in an evening. Either way, my sleep is poor!

One thing I absolutely swear by, and has literally been a life changer, is a maternity pillow.

I've teamed up with the lovely people at Theraline to not only review their Original Maternity and Nursing Pillow, but also to give one away too! I mean, how exciting is that?

THE TERRIBLE TWO'S

I thought we'd gotten away lightly with the terrible two's...

Aria is nearly two-and-a-half and while she's had her moments, if you were to ask me if she was ever 'naughty' I would have to think a little before replying. This week however seems to be a different story.

TODDLER SNACKING | NIM'S FRUIT CRISPS REVIEW

Is it just me, or do all toddlers come with a bottemless pit for an appetite?

Aria is two and-a-half and although very petite in size, that girl can eat! I feel like I'm constantly stocking my cupboards with a huge array of snacks to keep her satisfied throughout the day.

I'm very conscious not to give her too much 'junk' and try to give her the most nutritious foods possible, but with that often comes a lack of variety in the way of 'grab and go' snacks.

When Nim's Fruit Crisps got in touch and asked if we would like to try their selection of fruit and vegetable crisps, I thought it sounded like the perfect opportunity for us to try out some new family snacks, whilst being healthy too.

SWEET TOMATO RICOTTA SPAGHETTI | RECIPE WITH MY LITTLE PICCOLO

Like most toddlers, one of Aria's favourite foods is pasta. It doesn't matter what kind - if it's got pasta in it she's guaranteed to eat it... which is a win for me!

Last month we were lucky enough to work with the fabulous weaning brand My Little Piccolo, and got to try out their first stage weaning pouches, which you can see a full review of here.

They contacted us again to ask if we'd like to try out a family pasta recipe that is featured in their second stage weaning pouches, and obviously, we jumped at the chance.

We were given a list of ingredients, as well as a pretty awesome chefs hat, to recreate the recipe ourselves.

And the finished result!

This recipe is so incredibly easy to make, and utterly delicious from the weaning stage right up to us adults!

Please do let me know if you try this recipe out and what you and your family make of it! Also be sure to check out the My Little Piccolo range, which is available in Asda now!

*we were kindly sent vouchers to purchase the ingredients necessary for this recipe, but all thoughts and opinions are completely our own!

I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and I couldn't be more excited to finally share it with you all! It feels like I've been keeping this quiet for so so long, but we wanted to wait until Maya found out before telling the rest of our family and friends and of course, you all!

So here is our little 'bumpkin' announcement video.

I'll of course be doing plenty of prengnacy updates and spamming you all with all things bump and baby here on my blog, my youtube channel and social media - all are linked below so make sure you're following me to keep up to date with everything!

GB POCKIT STROLLER | REVIEW

Like most parents, the thought of testing out a new pushchair excites me far too much, especially one that is claimed to be the World's smallest folding stroller.

When I was given the opportunity to test out the new GB Pockit Stroller, I jumped at the chance.

MY LITTLE PICCOLO | THE PERFECT TODDLER SNACK

Aria is well past the weaning stage, but like any mum I'm always on the lookout for ways to get extra fruit and veg into her diet. She enjoys most foods, which is fantastic, but it's always nice to mix up the way she gets her daily intake of goodies.

When this lovely little package from My Little Piccolo arrived on our doorstep, I'm not sure which of us was more excited. I'm sure Aria would have devoured half the box if I let her.

LITTLE GIRLS BEDROOM | PLANS FOR DECORATING

Now that Aria is two, we've been talking a lot about updating her bedroom to a more 'grown up' style, that suits her personality more.

It is currently still decorated in the way we did her nursery. Warm, neutral and cosy. I do love the theme of her room as it is, but it feels like it's time for a little update.

How gorgeous is this bed?! Image taken from my Pinterest board

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS ~ A MUMMY DAUGHTER PICNIC

Isn't it amazing what a little bit of sunshine can do for your mood?

This week has been a good week. The sun has been shining and both Aria and I have been in a great mood (well, mostly! she is two after all...) and we've been out and about so much more, which has been truly lovely.

One of the nicest things we've done this week is go and have a picnic. I'm not talking gingham blankets, lanterns hanging from trees and dainty glasses of wine - although that would have been incredible - I'm talking cheap and cheerful sandwiches and crisps out in the garden. And you know what? It was lovely.

POTTY TRAINING YOUR TWO YEAR OLD

Potty training Aria was something I dreaded. At 23 months I thought maybe it was too early, even though she's been showing signs of being ready for some time. After some encouragement from my husband, we decided to give potty training a go.

4 days later and Aria was fully potty trained. I couldn't believe it. I doubted whether she was ready but in fact, it was me not wanting to lose my baby girl! She picked up on it so quickly and it just goes to show that if they are showing signs and are eager, it doesn't matter the age.

2 weeks on and we are nearly there with nap time dryness, and have had very few accidents when out-and-about. I thought I'd share with you some of my top tips for potty training, and why I think it went so smoothly for us!

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS ~ SHE DOESN'T NEED ME

REVIEW | BEATRIX POTTER FLOPSY BUNNY DINNER SET

I have to say, being the mother of a stubborn toddler can at times be quite challenging, but meal times is never one of them.

If you've seen my recent Toddler Meal Ideas video, you'll see that Aria is a pretty good eater! It's something I sometimes feel bad saying, as I know a lot of parents can find mealtimes quite stressful, but it wasn't always this way!

One of the biggest things that's made a difference to how well Aria eats (other than the bribe of desert) is making it fun. I think we can all agree that if a meal looks exciting and appetising, then we're more likely to eat it, which is why I absolutely adore this Beatrix Potter Flopsy Rabbit Organic Dinner Set!

WALT DISNEY WORLD | TOP TIPS WITH A TODDLER

One of questions I get asked most about our trip to Walt Disney World is, how was it taking a toddler?

Aria was 22 months when we took her and I was so surprised at how much there was for her to enjoy at the parks. As well as her favourite rides and attractions, which I'll cover in a separate post, I wanted to share with you some tips and tricks we learned during our trip, to hopefully make your lives a little easier if taking a toddler to Disney.

I've had lots of questions about our trip, from advice, general information to tips and tricks - especially with a toddler! So this will be the first blog post in my Walt Disney World series, talking about things to do before you go.

COULD I LOVE ANOTHER?

The idea of expanding our family has been a big topic in our house lately. We would say we're about 90% there on wanting another baby, but then again, can you ever be 100% ready?!

Now we have Aria, the idea of 'let's have a baby!' seems a lot more daunting. It's not only our lives that will change, but Aria's too, and as her mummy I really worry about that change.

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #4 - OUR BRIGHT SPARK

Since Aria turned 1, I've stopped noticing as many big changes in her. A month used to go by and I'd wonder how she'd changed so much, but by around 12 months old, each month slowly blended into the next and I noticed less change in her.

However, all of a sudden it feels like 'BAM!' here's this toddler that is very quickly turning into a little girl, and it's happening far too quickly for me to keep up with at the moment.

TACKLING THE LAUNDRY LOAD WITH SIMPLY | REVIEW

As a mum, there's never a day when a load of laundry isn't getting done. I'm forever loading and unloading the machine while my toddler finds yet another way to stain her clothes less than 20 minutes after getting dressed.

Not only that, but I suffer from eczema and sensitive skin, so choosing the right washing powder is incredibly important for our family.

TODDLER MEAL IDEAS | HIDDEN VEGGIES

I often feel like a culinary ninja when it comes to meal times. Slicing, dicing, and disguising those veggies that all toddlers seem to fear.

It can be tricky being so creative with ways to make vegetables look fun, or in most cases, completely hidden.

However, I've come up with 10 tried-and-tested meals that are perfect for getting all that goodness into your toddler, without kicking up a fuss.

Quesadillas
These are a household favourite, and are perfect for disguising veggies! Literally anything can be put in them, but we mostly like to use peppers and courgette.

CYBEX SIRONA CAR SEAT | REVIEW

There are several big purchases you will need to make when having a baby, and car seats are without question top of that list.

There are so many factors to consider when buying a car seat, and recommendation are worth their weight in gold.

Rather than do a blog post like I did with our previous car seat, the CYBEX ATON Q, I wanted to do a video to show you in more detail why we love it so much.

TODDLER TANTRUMS AND MUMMY MELTDOWNS

Every parent of a toddler has been there.

It's been a LONG day. Your child has thrown tantrums over anything and everything. You used the wrong cup for their juice, they didn't like the way you handed them their spoon, they couldn't pull their thumb off...

All those little things have built up into one huge issue and you finally crack. So with nothing else to give, you have a meltdown in the middle of a play date and leave feeling completely and utterly broken.

What did you do to turn your lovely, sweet child into this monster? I mean, it HAS to be your fault, you're the one in charge... aren't you?

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #3 - THE LUNCH DATE

Date night is something that is quite rare for Tom and I. Not because we don't want to go out and spend time together, but mostly because we're really content at home and feel that we do get that quality time all couples need.

However, we do try our best to go out every so often and treat ourselves to a meal out or time away just the two of us. It's nice to be able to switch off parenting mode for a few hours, and just be husband and wife. And that's exactly what we did this weekend.

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #2 - SUNDAY TRADITIONS

Sunday is a day to be spent with family, or at least it is for us.

Since I was born, my Nana has come to my Mums every Sunday, pretty much without fail, to have a catch up with us all and spend some quality time together. It's something I absolutely adored growing up, and I find it so special that Aria now gets to be part of that little tradition.

TOY STORAGE SOLUTIONS | IKEA TROFAST

With Christmas comes toys... lots of toys! So much so that we've been wondering where on earth we are going to store them all.

Our under-stairs cupboard is full of potential, but has recently become a dumping ground for anything and everything we want to keep out of sight! However, the January 'fresh start' bug has gotten the better of me, so I've decided to have a full clear out and purchase some storage units that will transform our cupboard into something I'm a little too proud about!

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #1 - GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR

As we all know, the start of a new year sparks thoughts of resolutions, changes, hopes, dreams and reflection of the year just passed. For our little family, we're no exception.

Having children really does make you focus on the little, ordinary moments in life we often take for granted. I'm such a fan of Katie from Mummy Daddy Me and absolutely love her 'The Ordinary Moments' link up. I think it's so important to not only write about the big moments, but the little moments too, that make up the bigger picture.

With that, I wanted to start off the year by joining in her link up, and hopefully I'll be able to do so every week.

So what better way to start than with my goals for 2016?
