THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #3 - THE LUNCH DATE

Date night is something that is quite rare for Tom and I. Not because we don't want to go out and spend time together, but mostly because we're really content at home and feel that we do get that quality time all couples need.

However, we do try our best to go out every so often and treat ourselves to a meal out or time away just the two of us. It's nice to be able to switch off parenting mode for a few hours, and just be husband and wife. And that's exactly what we did this weekend.

MY AMERICAN ADVENTURE - SUMMER AS A CAMP COUNSELLOR

After sharing a #throwback picture on my Instagram this week of my summer working in America, I was amazed how many people were interested in hearing my experience, as it isn't something I've shared before on my blog!

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #2 - SUNDAY TRADITIONS

Sunday is a day to be spent with family, or at least it is for us.

Since I was born, my Nana has come to my Mums every Sunday, pretty much without fail, to have a catch up with us all and spend some quality time together. It's something I absolutely adored growing up, and I find it so special that Aria now gets to be part of that little tradition.

TOY STORAGE SOLUTIONS | IKEA TROFAST

With Christmas comes toys... lots of toys! So much so that we've been wondering where on earth we are going to store them all.

Our under-stairs cupboard is full of potential, but has recently become a dumping ground for anything and everything we want to keep out of sight! However, the January 'fresh start' bug has gotten the better of me, so I've decided to have a full clear out and purchase some storage units that will transform our cupboard into something I'm a little too proud about!

Check out my latest video on my YouTube channel to see a before and after and full tour that Monica Geller would even be proud of.

THE ORDINARY MOMENTS #1 - GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR

As we all know, the start of a new year sparks thoughts of resolutions, changes, hopes, dreams and reflection of the year just passed. For our little family, we're no exception.

Having children really does make you focus on the little, ordinary moments in life we often take for granted. I'm such a fan of Katie from Mummy Daddy Me and absolutely love her 'The Ordinary Moments' link up. I think it's so important to not only write about the big moments, but the little moments too, that make up the bigger picture.

With that, I wanted to start off the year by joining in her link up, and hopefully I'll be able to do so every week.

So what better way to start than with my goals for 2016?

Goals for the New Year | Pinterest Health Kick

It's that time of year again when I start to think about my new years resolutions, and what I think are realistic goals for 2016. One that I've thought about for a while is shedding a few lbs. and lets face it, I wasn't about to start a big health kick when there were several cheese boards and turkey sandwiches to devour!

Now the festivities are at an end, I've been thinking a lot about what kind of diet is realistic for me, and one that I can actually see myself sticking to. Obviously, the first place I headed to for inspiration was Pinterest, and made myself a little board full of yummy healthy meal ideas to keep me inspired!
